A friend’s friend lost her bear hat bought from years ago and couldn’t find it anywhere for sale. I was asked if I could make one from looking at a picture. The original one is knitted by looking at the photo, but I am more familiar with crochet, plus I don’t do lining inside the hat. But my friend still wanted me to go ahead and try to imitate it as much as I could. So here it is – my picture made the hat look purple for some reason, but it’s blue as the original 🙂 Hope her friend will like it!
I was going to crochet a macaroon metal frame coin purse, but after I sew the metal frame on, it no longer looked the way I expected So I decided to undo it and then made this one instead I might still go back to the macaroon metal frame again when I get a chance.
So how do you like this? I plan to make some more (hopefully before Christmas shopping season is over) and put them for sale in Etsy shortly! Stay tune!
I promised a little girl that I would make her an owl ornament that she saw at my coworker’s office. I didn’t save the pattern (not mine) when I made it for my coworker a while ago, but managed to find it on the website. After I was half way through (about an hour), I felt something’s not right. That’s a small charm and I should have been done within 30 minutes, but how come I was only half done??? Then I checked the website again and realized the designer has two versions for this owl – one is a travel plush (click here for the pattern) that I was working on, and the other one is the baby version (click here for the pattern) I wanted. I didn’t bother to take the half done one apart. Instead I finished it off and gave it to my 3-yr old boy who loves animals. After that I made the baby version for that little girl. I modified the pattern a little bit, but you should definitelly try the patterns out if you crochet coz it’s super easy but cute. So here they are:
